Who We Are

Haiti for the World is an all-volunteer leader partnership. We have no paid staff in the U.S. so 100% of your donations go to educators in Haiti. Why Haiti? Even though it is the financially poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, the people are rich in hope. Our partners in Haiti believe that transformation for Haiti and the world will come through the raising of leaders for a better tomorrow. Crucial to raising leaders is a quality education. Because of the lack of public funding for education, help is needed.

Bethany Christian School

Located in Cayes Jacmel, Bethany Christian School has students in 1st – 13th grades. Teachers are paid between $100-$120/month. The cost for each student's education is about $10/month. Recently, the founder of the school retired and funding ceased. The teachers and other staff went without pay for six months. Because of their commitment to their students, the teachers remained even returning without a guarantee of pay. We are honored to be part of such a dedicated team of teachers.

As Nelson Mandela observed, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Through Haiti for the World, all funding goes to support teachers and students in Haiti. $100/month supports a teacher's pay. $10/month supports a student’s fees.
